Manufacturing Assistant

The Role Join a friendly, employee-owned, award-winning international outdoor business as a Manufacturing Assistant Manufacture Nikwax products efficiently to the high standards and quality controls as set out by the Manufacturing Coordinator.

Your Responsibilities

Producing bulk products in accordance with production schedules and company standards Taking responsibility for the setup, operation, and shutdown of equipment during manufacturing runs, and demonstrating proficiency in using all other machinery Implementing stock rotation for bulk products Maintaining cleanliness, order, and safety in the manufacturing area and equipment, while adhering to safe working practices and utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per company standards Promptly reporting any machinery faults or health and safety issues to the company.

This position involves manual tasks, including heavy lifting, and handling chemicals. Comprehensive training will be provided, and the necessary PPE will be supplied. Due to our rural location near Wadhurst in East Sussex you will require your own transport. We Are Looking for an Individual Who: Is a collaborative individual with a keen eye for detail Has previous experience in a production or manufacturing setting Is open to working with chemicals (comprehensive training will be given) Already has proficiency in forklift operation would be a plus Has knowledge of Health and Safety standards is desirable Has an educational background equivalent to GCSE level in Maths and English.
