Berkot's is seeking Produce Manager applicants for our Coal City location.

Job Responsibilities

Staffing, hiring, and training all produce department employees Merchandising displays and special buy in’s Ensuring Department is up to Safety and Health Code Standards Understanding company financials and Produce Departments impact Responsible for order all products from multiple vendors. Ability to effectively communicate via phone call, text message, and email in a timely manner.

Maintaining appropriate inventory levels and ensuring minimal loss in the Produce Department Maintain a broad knowledge of produce products Handle employee relation issues within your departments, partnering with store managers and HR department when needed to address issues. Helping with company events as pertains to produce department Other duties assigned as see fit Scheduling for Produce Department Keeping department clean and fresh up to Berkot standards Requirements: 5+ years experience working in Grocery Retail, Specifically Produce department Ability to stand for 5 hours Ability to lift 40lbs Valid driving license Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
