Maintenance Technician-Part-Time

Part-Time Maintenance Technician Location: Stratford, CT Pay: $23–$30 per hour Schedule: Flexible Part-Time Schedule | 30 Hours Per Week Position Overview Superior Skilled Trades is partnering with a client in the manufacturing industry to hire a Part-Time Maintenance Technician. This is a great opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional or mechanically skilled individual looking for a flexible work schedule without committing to a traditional full-time position.

One of the biggest advantages of this opportunity is the scheduling flexibility. You can choose your preferred workdays and hours within the company's Monday–Friday operating schedule of 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, with a 30-hour workweek. The position focuses on maintaining manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and helping keep production operations running smoothly.

The company is looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable diagnosing equipment problems, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot mechanical issues with manufacturing equipment. Perform equipment maintenance and hands-on repairs. Identify equipment problems and determine appropriate corrective actions. Assist with routine maintenance and equipment upkeep. Respond to equipment issues and help minimize production disruptions. Work independently to diagnose and resolve maintenance concerns.

Follow established safety procedures and maintenance practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or equipment troubleshooting preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills. Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs. Experience working on woodworking equipment, hydraulic equipment, and general shop equipment preferred.

Experience with heat sealing equipment, CNC machines, waterjet cutting machines, or corrugated box-making equipment is a plus. Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and production operations. Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Dependable, adaptable, and willing to take ownership of maintenance responsibilities.
