Searcys are looking for a Kitchen Porter to be an integral part in ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen at The British Academy. Grand in scale, intricate in detail, {10-11} Carlton House Terrace is an iconic venue in the history of London, and an exceptional canvas for any event – from wedding receptions and corporate conferences to banquets and summer parties.

Your birthday off to celebrate in style A day off to volunteer / give back to the charity of your choice Salary: £14.80 per hour Hours: 0 hours contract Key Responsibilities: To ensure all areas of the kitchen and service areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness. Ensure the thorough cleaning of crockery, kitchen equipment and spaces on a daily and weekly basis.
To be flexible to work across all parts of the building. To be actively involved with food preparation and service. Waste management, recording data as required. Maintain all catering storage areas, ensuring they are always organised and clean. To assist with stock, including accepting deliveries, counting and storing them correctly.
Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. Ability to work as part of a team. Good communication skills.
