General Accountant

The General Accountant provides advanced professional accounting work involving the analysis, reconciliation, maintenance, and reporting of complex financial transactions and accounts. The position is responsible for documenting cash activities, preparation and review of journal entries, account analysis, and accounting principles and professional judgement.

Responsibilities include

oversight of bank account reconciliations, online payment system reconciliations, and other balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the University’s financial records.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position exercises judgment and discretion in applying Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP), University policies, and regulatory requirements.
