Description Job Title: Process Engineer Department: Engineering Reports To: Plant Manager / Engineering Manager Required Education: Technical Electronics Degree or equivalent or 5 Years Related Experience Summary: The Process Engineer oversees the PCBA Process rules in order to guarantee people safety, IPC conformity and assembly reliability.

In this way, he must manage the Product / Equipment / Process / Consumable / Tooling balancing: Product specification and design inputs Equipements capabilities and capacities Process orientations Consumables (alloys, solder pastes, fluxes, varnish, cleaning solutions…) and associated parameters (implementation, thermal profiles, program cycles…) Tooling’s definition (Screens, screen printer/wave soldering/cleaning /coating/profiles parameters & parameters Required Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of electronic assembly processes Knowledge of SMT and through hole assembly techno/equipment (programming, use, settings) IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification strongly preferred (+ Ability to analyses external Lab expertise on soldering) Reads and interprets a plan, method instructions Electronics, mechanics, physical, chemical Components technology: integrated circuits, diodes, resistors, transistors, etc and their mechanical housings, through hole components ESD rules/practices Client quality/safety risks linked to non-conformities Required Duties/Tasks to be accomplished: Method & Engineering team proximity Process test batches Qualification batches to define/run and finalized Consumable / Equipment / Tooling Supplier contacts Laboratories contacts/drive Drive and analyses external Lab expertise on soldering, quality issues Equipment process parameters to adjust, test and qualify Instructions, reports writing Manufacturing support Design for Manufacturing rules definition and training Participate in the launch of prototypes and new products Contribute to the enhancement of Overall equipment Effectiveness Apply procedures, instructions and rules Observe individual and materials ESD* rules Alert their manager concerning any possible discrepancies Other duties as assigned Physical Demands: Working sitting in front of a computer screen Standing on the production line Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
