JOB SUMMARY

The Steward maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchens and dish areas at the property, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and well-supplied environment for culinary and service operations. This role washes dishware and equipment, cleans kitchen areas, and supports the flow of clean supplies to outlets and banquets. The Steward contributes directly to food safety, culinary operations, and the guest experience.

Working closely with the culinary and stewarding team, this position keeps the kitchens running cleanly.

EDUCATION

& EXPERIENCE Required Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Language requirements are confirmed by property at the time of posting. Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification as required by the applicable jurisdiction. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on occupancy.

Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous stewarding or kitchen experience. Bilingual ability appropriate to the property's guests. Knowledge of dish machines and sanitation. FUNDAMENTAL REQUIREMENTS Wash and sanitize dishware, glassware, utensils, pots, and equipment. Operate and maintain dish machines safely. Clean kitchen floors, walls, equipment, and work areas.

Stock and deliver clean dishware and supplies to outlets and banquets. Remove trash and recycling and maintain garbage areas. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and chemical handling standards. Maintain organization of storage and dish areas. Support deep cleaning and special projects. Report equipment issues and safety concerns promptly.

Assist the culinary team as directed. Perform other duties as requested by management. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Stand and walk for the majority of a shift on hard, wet kitchen floors. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including racks, pots, and equipment. Frequently bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions. Work in a hot, humid environment near dish machines and cleaning chemicals.
