  • (Electrical Systems, Warehouse, Cranes, Workshop, Drill Equipment, Welder) We are seeking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor
  • (Electrical Systems, Warehouse, Cranes, Workshop, Drill Equipment, Welder) to join our team in Mashonaland West (Zimbabwe). Operational Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities on heavy equipment such as dump trucks, excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, and auxiliary units. Plan and allocate daily work tasks to maintenance crews (fitters, mechanics, auto electricians). Ensure maintenance work is performed according to schedules, work orders, and technical procedures. Monitor progress and quality of repairs, preventive maintenance, and component replacements. Assist in diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural issues and define corrective actions. Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities. Collaborate with maintenance planners, storekeepers, and operations to ensure parts and resources are available to minimize downtime. Participate in daily maintenance planning and shift handover meetings. Safety & Compliance Enforce company safety procedures, standards, and legal regulations during all maintenance activities. Promote a strong safety culture in the workshop and field. Ensure proper use of PPE, Lock Out–Tag Out (LOTO), and safe work practices. Conduct risk assessments, safety talks, and participate in incident investigations. Report and address unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately. Environmental Responsibilities Ensure environmental compliance in all maintenance operations. Oversee proper handling, storage, and disposal of lubricants, fuels, filters, and other materials. Ensure spill control procedures and clean-up measures are followed. Maintain a clean and organized workshop and field work areas. People & Resource Management Supervise fitters, mechanics, auto electricians, and maintenance assistants. Manage shift rosters, crew assignments, and ensure adequate coverage. Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and technical guidance to team members. Monitor performance and support skill development of maintenance personnel. Foster teamwork, accountability, and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

Technical Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent trade qualification). Recognized trade certification as Fitter, Mechanic, Auto Electrician, or Boilermaker. Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance of heavy mining or earthmoving equipment, or relevant experience with EPSA Group.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Familiarity with OEM equipment (e.g., Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, Volvo). Understanding of maintenance planning and work order systems. Additional training or certification in supervision or leadership. Experience using CMMS or maintenance planning software (e.

g., SAP, Pragma, or similar). OEM or factory training on heavy mining equipment. First Aid or safety-related certifications. Experience working in open-pit mining or large-scale earthmoving operations. Pre- Employment Requirements Reference ch e cks wi l l be con ducted .
