Bus Shop Head/ Mechanic

Bus Head Shop/Maintenance position is located at Grangeville, Idaho. This is a full time position; 8 hours per day; 40 hours per week; 12 months per year. Applicants must have prior experience and knowledge of the following: *Repair and Maintenance and the mechanics of trucks, busses and cars, *Ability to secure a CDL drivers license, if not already acquired, *Prepare and/or follow bus routes and schedules with efficiency and safety, *Work with securing substitute and/or activity bus drivers, *Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, *Supervise and maintain a system of receipts and issuance of parts and supplies and record keeping, *Ability to work with District Office staff to meet all state transportation safety requirements and paperwork, *Ability to work with Superintendent regarding equipment replacement or major repairs or other transportation decisions, *Assist with recruitment, training of new bussing staff and evaluations of bus drivers, *And, ability to be flexible when additional duties are assigned.
