• Houston, TX Benefits: $17.00- $22.00/ Hour Medical, Dental, and Vision eligible after 90 Days Safety Incentive Program 40 Hours PTO after One Year Holiday Pay Full Time 10-12/ Hour Shifts 35 - 45 hours a week, Overtime available Pay frequency: weekly.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment as assigned. Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks, trailers and/or forklifts. Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations.

Interpret work orders and technical manuals. Monitor and maintain applicable equipment safety items. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations. Regular attendance is required. Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in the equipment rental or automotive industry. Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components. Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Familiarity with electrical systems related to diesel machinery is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
