• Brooklyn, NY, Position Type: Full-Time, Education Level: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent, Salary Range: $32.96 - $35.71Hourly, Travel Percentage: Up to 25%, Job Shift: Day, The CASAC will provide assessments of client substance abuse disorders and use an eclectic approach of engagement and service delivery. The CASAC will also support the case planning staff in the implementation of case specific goals of families; will be part of a multi-method program and has a consistent strong approach to partnering with families to promote the safety and wellbeing of all children; ensure that our families and staff have access to high-quality resources to meet their needs. The CASAC will also provide direct service to clients who may be undocumented or have no insurance.

Essential Functions

Provide case management, substance abuse counseling, and advocacy services. Provide direct services to clients with no insurance. Provides individual psychotherapy, group and/or family therapy as indicated. Maintains case records, updates treatment plans, writes progress notes and psycho-social histories Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team to facilitate the client recovery and rehabilitation processes.

Participate in all Clinical Diagnostic Team (CDT) meetings. Refer and broker targeted interventions as needed for families and contribute to the healthy integrity of the program’s therapeutic environment. Provides consultation to case planners regarding families who struggle with substance abuse. Conducts intakes including psycho-social history, makes clinical assessment and designs individual treatment plans with conjunction with other staff.

Coordinates treatment with other community-based organizations as indicated. Establishes professional and therapeutic relationship. Performs other job-related duties as assigned, consistent with the scope, responsibilities, and level of the position, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Qualifications
