Quality Manager
- Rail and Station Infrastructure About the Employer Our client is an infrastructure engineering and construction contractor delivering transport, civil and energy projects. Its teams work across design, construction and project delivery in Australia. The Opportunity Lead quality management across integrated station construction in Sydney. You will work with design, engineering and site leaders to make quality plans effective in daily delivery, maintain ISO 9001 compliance and improve assurance processes.
Your Responsibilities
- Investigate non-conformances, identify underlying causes and follow corrective actions through to resolution.
- Develop and maintain quality plans, inspection and test plans and checklists.
- Audit consultants, suppliers and subcontractors against specifications and certification obligations.
- Review construction risks with site teams and support inspection hold-point releases.
- Prepare monthly quality reports and monitor assurance performance indicators.
- Coach project colleagues and work with the supply chain to resolve documentation and quality issues.
Requirements
Skills, Education and Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, quality management or a related discipline.
- Substantial experience as a Quality Manager or senior quality lead on major infrastructure.
- Underground station, rail, station excavation or tunnelling experience is highly regarded.
- Detailed understanding of ISO 9001, inspection plans, checklists and hold-point processes.
- Experience with internal and external audits, risk reviews and non-conformance registers.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, including coaching and client engagement.
