Research Assistant
Job description
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above in a health-related discipline (such as Biological Science, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Scienceor Public Health); (ii) relevant experience preferably in clinical research activities; (iii) a good command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese; (iv) good interpersonal skills and communication skills; (v) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; (vi) knowledge in statistics and research methods; (vii) proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint), with knowledge of statistical programs and other relevant software being an advantage; and (viii) a strong commitment to conducting high quality clinical research.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in organising clinical research projects at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin; (b) participating in study co-ordination, patient assessment, as well as clinical data collection, entry and analysis; (c) assisting in clinical research monitoring and site management activities; and (d) performing other tasks as assigned.
Irregular working hours, including work on weekends and public holidays, will be required. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
