Butchery Assistant

BUTCHERY ASSISTANT Babylonstoren is looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Butchery Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily butchery and production activities Pack, weigh and label meat products according to specifications Ensure all products are packed neatly, accurately and to a high standard Assist with stock handling, stock rotation and storage Prepare packaging materials, equipment and work areas for production Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic working environment Follow all food-safety, hygiene and workplace-safety procedures Support the butchery team with general production duties as required Requirements Previous experience in a butchery, food-production or packing environment will be advantageous Willingness to learn and work effectively as part of a team Good attention to detail Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions Physically fit and comfortable working in a cold environment Strong commitment to cleanliness, hygiene and product quality Willingness to work flexible hours when required Only candidates who meet the minimum job and employment equity requirements will be contacted for an interview.
