- Pay Starts at $20hr Up to $5,000 SIGN ON/RETENTION BONUS Starting Pay $20/hr or higher based on experience. Full-time | Part-time | As Needed Position Summary Join our healthcare team as a Nursing Assistant and play an essential role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the Nursing Assistant provides support with personal care, daily living activities, patient comfort measures, and clinical tasks while helping maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care and comfort measures while respecting each patient's dignity, individuality, and preferences. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, skin care, and elimination needs. Obtain and record vital signs and collect specimens as directed. Assist with patient transportation and support various nursing procedures.
Apply non-sterile dressings, ice packs, heat treatments, and perform other delegated patient care activities. Accurately document patient care and observations in the medical record. Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and well-stocked patient care environment. Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests. Communicate patient observations and concerns to the assigned nurse.
Support patient rights, autonomy, dignity, values, and beliefs while providing care. Participate in continuing education and maintain required clinical competencies.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program required. Experience Previous healthcare experience preferred. Certifications Current Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA I) or Certified Nursing Assistant II (CNA II) certification required. Current BLS (CPR) certification required.
Skills & Abilities Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and other physical activities associated with direct patient care.
