CDL Driver (Vacuum Truck / Equipment Operator)

This Opportunity Bay West is seeking an CDL Driver / Equipment Operator to join our team! In this role, you'll operate specialized equipment, conduct hazardous waste cleanup, and provide top-tier service to our clients. Your Key Responsibilities Travel to job sites and operate vacuum trucks, roll off trucks, and other company equipment and vehicles Accurately perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report deficiencies daily Label and manifest shipments in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies Interact with customers and provide superior customer service during all activities Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs Maintain and protect all equipment in excellent condition Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve overall team operations Operate and troubleshoot routinely used tools and equipment Conduct hazardous waste operations and clean-up Develop summaries, generate photographic logs, and input fieldwork documentation Actively participate on the Emergency Response (ER) team - one week of being on-call 24/7 every six to eight weeks needed Who You Are Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED or 5 - 7 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class B or A required Active 40-hour HAZWOPER Certificate helpful but will be provided to the right candidate TWIC card helpful but will be provided to the right candidate Basic computer skills, such as using Microsoft Office products, communicating through email, etc.

Ability to travel as needed Occasional weekend work required Possess or have access to reliable means of transportation on a 24-hour basis Experience operating construction equipment, like an excavator, loader, and/or skid steer helpful Preferred Qualifications Tanker and HAZMAT endorsement helpful but will be provided to the right candidate Experience operating yellow iron equipment preferred Ability to operate manual transmission CDL vehicles Physical Requirements Ability to function in work environments that sometimes include high heat; high humidity; extreme cold; roadway traffic hazards; on water (boat operations) and confined spaces Occasional work wearing a respirator; infrequent work requiring supplied air, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), and fully encapsulated protective suits Adequate vision and hearing to safely see teammates, signals, and hear warning communication in low light Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (including reaching, grasping, twisting, pushing, and pulling) Walking on uneven surfaces & climbing stairs/ladders Semi-frequent crouching, bending, stooping, and twisting, occasionally in tight spaces Sitting in a vehicle for up to three hours straight Working while standing during a 12-hour workday Frequently lifting up to 10 lbs.
