Event Sales Manager

Job Purpose The Event Sales Manager is responsible for booking and coordinating events at Drive Shack by prospecting for new corporate and social event opportunities and converting incoming leads to booked events.

Responsibilities

Sell and coordinate events from booking through final execution, ensuring each client has a unique and memorable experience. Prepare sales reports for Drive Shack Inc. Corporate Office (weekly, monthly, and quarterly). Proactively prospect and introduce new event business opportunities. Partner with Operations leadership and National Sales Directors to enhance guest experience and drive profitability.

Generate and support programs that promote a culture of high performance, innovation, and fun. Maintain strong knowledge of assigned local markets, including both corporate and social event opportunities. Maximize revenues through effective upselling techniques. Perform other duties as requested by management. Contribute to department and company goals by completing related results as needed.

Ensure guests receive immediate, friendly, and personalized service. Establish rapport with Drive Shack guests and promote prompt, courteous, and efficient service. Represent Drive Shack by participating in local community organizations. Attend networking events, trade shows, and expos at least once a month. Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others; understand and enforce safe work practices consistently.

Qualifications

Minimum three (3) years of event sales experience. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with inventory management and cost control. Excellent customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and point-of-sale or business metric applications. High school diploma or equivalent required. Culinary or Hospitality Management degree or apprenticeship program preferred.

Working Conditions Work is performed in a hospitality environment that includes office settings, event spaces, outdoor areas, and guest-facing environments. Extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting may be required depending on event schedules and operational needs. Frequent movement throughout the venue is required, including visiting bays, event rooms, front-of-house areas, and back-of-house spaces.

Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving items up to 25 lbs. may be required (e.g., event materials, presentations, collateral). Must be comfortable working in environments with varying noise levels, lighting, and temperature conditions. Work schedule may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business demands and event execution.
