Abound Health is seeking a caring, stable, and dedicated individual or couple in Monroe County to join our Life Sharing Program as a Host Family for a young adult preparing to transition out of children�s services. This unique opportunity allows you to open your home and heart to someone who is ready for independence, connection, and a supportive family environment.

We are actively recruiting a Host Family who can offer a quiet, low-key home with no children or additional roommates, where this young adult can continue to grow, thrive, and maintain their independence. What Is Life Sharing? Life Sharing is a person-centered residential model where an individual becomes a fully integrated member of a family�s home and community.

Unlike traditional caregiving, Life Sharing focuses on long-term relationships, independence, and meaningful daily experiences within a natural home setting. As a Host Family, you provide not just a place to live � but a sense of belonging, stability, and purpose. We are supporting a young adult who is: � Independent, capable, and comfortable going out into the community on his own � Looking for a quiet, calm home environment � Best matched with a single host or a couple � Someone who values having their own space � Interested in remaining in Monroe County � Hoping for a home with stores or community locations within walking distance � Seeking a household that respects his independence while offering stability and support What You�ll Do as a Life Sharing Host Family � Provide a safe, stable, and welcoming home � Support daily living skills and household routines � Offer mentorship, companionship, and emotional support � Encourage community involvement and recreational activities � Collaborate with Abound Health to follow person-centered plans � Promote independence, dignity, and personal growth Why Become a Life Sharing Family?
