About the role

This is an opportunity to build and shape BBNT’s enterprise data capability. As the Data Platform & Solutions Engineer, you’ll define the data roadmap, design scalable solutions, and transform data from across the business into trusted, actionable insights. Reporting to the Head of IT, you'll build and optimise data platforms, pipelines and products that support operational decision-making, advanced analytics and emerging AI initiatives.

This hands-on role offers the autonomy to drive change, implement modern data solutions and deliver measurable business impact. Data Strategy, Architecture & Delivery Shape and deliver BBNT's data roadmap and platform strategy. Define and evolve scalable data architecture, integration standards and enterprise data products.

Design and deliver reusable data products, semantic models and trusted datasets that support reporting, operational processes and decision-making. Partner with stakeholders to translate business priorities into practical data solutions that deliver measurable value. Data Engineering, Quality & Governance Build and support data pipelines, integrations, datasets and services across the enterprise.

Establish data standards, metadata, lineage, governance controls and data contracts to ensure trusted and accessible data. Implement data quality, security and compliance frameworks that support reliable business outcomes. Enable approved AI initiatives through the delivery of governed, high-quality data and scalable data pipelines.

Platform Operations & Continuous Improvement Monitor, support and optimise data platforms, performance and operational reliability. Lead issue resolution, root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities. Integrate and manage data across enterprise platforms including ERP, POS, warehouse management and eCommerce systems.

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend opportunities to enhance BBNT's data capability.

About You

Proven experience building and supporting cloud-based data platforms, pipelines and data products. Strong SQL and data engineering skills, with experience in Python (or similar). Experience shaping data architecture, enterprise data capabilities or data strategy. Knowledge of data integration, governance, quality, security, metadata and lineage best practices.

Experience delivering reliable, scalable solutions using modern engineering practices, including testing, source control and deployment processes. Ability to translate business needs into practical data solutions and outcomes. You will have working knowledge of: Modern data platforms, lakehouse architectures and business intelligence tools.

Dersigning reusable data products, semantic models and business-facing analytics solutions. Exposure to AI-enabled solutions, APIs and enterprise integrations. Experience integrating ERP, POS, warehouse management or eCommerce platforms. Relevant qualifications or certifications in Information Technology, Data Engineering, Cloud, Analytics or Solution Architecture.
