Afterschool Tutor

Job Details: Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, After-School Tutor The Community Charter School of Paterson is seeking After-School Tutors. The Program is Scheduled to start September 21, 2026. Program hours are from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Implementation of after-school tutoring program aligned with academic priorities. Assist to monitor student engagement and academic progress through regular check-ins and assessments. Assist with maintaining attendance records for students. Manage student groupings to ensure academic alignment and productive sessions.

Address student behavior concerns and implement positive behavior interventions. Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants. Assist with maintaining compliance with safety protocols and school policies.

Qualifications

NJDOE Teaching Certificate Knowledge of best practices in teaching and a commitment to fostering positive outcomes for young people. Knowledge of instructional strategies and academic data use. Must be in good standing (attendance and other job responsibilities) and available 3:00–5:00 PM daily.
