Business Analyst - Future of Sorting

As a Business Analyst within the central DCO Sorting team, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the Sorting Digital Roadmap. You will translate operational needs and strategic priorities into clear business and functional requirements, providing IT and Architecture teams with the insights needed to design fit-for-purpose digital solutions.

Working closely with Sorting Operations, IT, Architecture and project stakeholders, you will analyse and challenge business needs, define future-state processes and develop functional specifications. Your primary focus will be on digital solutions (outside the core ERP landscape) that support and improve Sorting operations, while taking relevant interfaces with the wider application landscape into account.

You will support initiatives from initial analysis and feasibility assessment through solution selection, testing, implementation and business acceptance.

Your responsibilities

Gather, analyse and challenge business needs across the Sorting environment, translating them into clear business requirements and functional specifications. Map and document current-state and future-state processes, user journeys, use cases, business rules and data requirements, and define representative business and operational scenarios with clear, measurable acceptance criteria.

Contribute to feasibility studies, business cases and RFPs by defining the functional scope, scenarios, evaluation criteria and acceptance criteria, and by assessing solution options against business needs, operational constraints, risks and dependencies. Help define and assess digital solutions for Sorting, including their functional fit, operational impact and integration requirements.

Act as the link between operational stakeholders, product and project teams, IT and Architecture, ensuring a shared understanding of business needs, priorities and proposed solutions. Support Digital Roadmap initiatives throughout the delivery lifecycle, from discovery and solution definition through testing, implementation and business acceptance.

Prepare and facilitate analysis workshops, validate requirements with stakeholders and formulate evidence-based recommendations. Maintain functional documentation, ensure traceability from business need to delivered solution, and safeguard business knowledge across initiatives. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, systems, analysis methods and digital solutions within the Sorting organisation.
