BCHS Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach

Brown County High School Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach Position: Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach School: Brown County High School Reports To: Head Girls Wrestling Coach and Athletic Director Job Summary Brown County High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach to support the development and success of the girls wrestling program.

The assistant coach will work closely with the head coach to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development, and a positive athletic experience for student-athletes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices and competitions. Teach and reinforce proper wrestling techniques, strategies, and safety procedures. Encourage teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and academic success. Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, and team activities. Support the development of individual wrestlers and overall team performance.

Communicate effectively with student-athletes, coaching staff, and parents. Assist in maintaining equipment and organizing team activities. Follow all IHSAA rules and school corporation policies.

Qualifications

Knowledge of wrestling techniques, rules, and coaching strategies. Previous wrestling coaching or competitive experience preferred. Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. Ability to motivate and positively influence student-athletes. Must meet all applicable Brown County Schools and IHSAA coaching requirements.
