Description Tampa Family Pharmacy is now hiring a Pharmacy Technician in Tampa, FL Schedule: This is a full-time onsite position with the following regular schedule: Monday – Thursday 8:00am- 5:30pm and Friday 8:00am-1:00pm Salary: $23.00 hourly based on experience Tampa Family Pharmacy has been serving the community of Tampa since 2010.

Assist patients and answer phones as required. Enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system. Enter patient information into the pharmacy computer system. Contact all new patients for demographic and insurance info. Upon receiving new antibiotic scripts, contact patient immediately to inform them & process.

Maintain updated patient profiles including allergies. Initiate communication with prescribers for clarification of missing prescription information as directed by the pharmacist and allowed under state and local law. Intake and typing of new and refill prescriptions. Accept refill requests, proactively contact patients to see if they are ready for refill.

Work incoming documents and escribe queues. Fax, call or send Escribes for refill requests. Contact patients and MD offices as appropriate to resolve insurance claim issues..

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year experience Registration with the Pharmacy Technician Florida State Board of Pharmacy Experience in pharmacy practice or health care setting helpful.
