LDA Minnesota is seeking mentors or special education teachers in training. Are you: Passionate about working with students in special education? Interested in purposefully engaging with new special educators? Committed to continued personal growth and development as a mentor and as a cultural being in special education?

Grounded in a pragmatic approach to teaching and learning in the field of special education? As a mentor, you will play a crucial role in preparing future special educators in our PELSB-approved Academic & Behavioral Strategist (ABS) licensure program. Our program integrates mentors into its framework, meeting weekly with teacher candidates and fostering meaningful relationships with teacher candidates as they complete their two-year program and earn their ABS license.

Mentor Benefits: Paid position: Earn $2,400 per academic year per candidate ($1,200 per semester). You may mentor up to two candidates each academic year. Professional Development: Access to continuing education hours and earn Mentoring and Cultural Competence badging and certification.
