Job Description: Wet Utilities Inspector Abu Dhabi, UAE Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Wet Utilities Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi. In this role you will inspect wet utility works on site to ensure installation, testing, and commissioning are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and HSE requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing: Inspect installation of wet utility systems (water, drainage, sewerage), verifying alignment, levels, and gradients. Ensure works comply with approved designs, specifications, and relevant standards/codes. Monitor materials and workmanship quality and verify proper trenching, excavation, bedding, backfilling, and reinstatement.
Witness and verify testing activities (e.g., pressure testing, leakage/flow testing) and support commissioning readiness. Coordinate with contractors/subcontractors and utility stakeholders to resolve site issues and implement corrective actions. Liaise with engineers and project management to close technical discrepancies and support design/interface coordination.
Maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation, and ensure safe and environmentally compliant site practices (e.g., waste disposal, stormwater controls). What Required Skills You’ll Bring: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline. Minimum 7 years relevant experience in wet utilities inspection.
Strong knowledge of water, drainage, and sewerage systems and applicable standards (ASTM/BS/ISO or local). Ability to read and interpret utility drawings, specifications, and ITP requirements. Strong reporting and communication skills with good HSE awareness and site coordination capability.
