Hybrid Dock Worker/Local CDL_A Driver

Key Responsibilities

1. Dock Operations:

• Receive, unload, and properly sort incoming shipments.
• Safely load outbound shipments onto trucks, ensuring accurate placement and securement.
• Utilize material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move freight within the warehouse.
• Conduct inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.

1. Local CDL A Driving:

• Operate company-owned CDL A vehicles to transport goods locally.
• Safely drive to and from designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance activities.
• Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup processes.

1. Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance safety awareness and skills.
• Report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents immediately to management.
• Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse or dock environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
