The BCBA conducts clinical assessments, develops and monitors behavior support plans, provides case management, and collaborates with staff, families, advocates, and other service providers. This position teaches individuals and staff new skills designed to increase independence, support skill development, and reduce maladaptive behaviors.

The BCBA also provides crisis assessment, intervention, and management; offers consultation through teaching, observation, and feedback; and helps ensure services are delivered in accordance with applicable safety requirements, federal and state regulations, organizational policies, and professional ethical standards.

This position reports to the Director of Residential Services and does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. What You’ll Do As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst , you will: Evaluate the behavioral support needs of individuals participating in community-based residential and family support programs. Develop, implement, monitor, and revise individualized behavior modification and support programs.

Conduct clinical assessments and use collected data to guide treatment recommendations and behavioral interventions. Develop treatment goals and intervention strategies that promote skill development, independence, and positive behavioral outcomes. Provide technical assistance, consultation, and ongoing support to residential and program staff.

Train staff in programming strategies, identification of target behaviors, intervention techniques, data collection, documentation, and report writing. Teach staff and individuals new skills using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Observe service delivery and provide constructive feedback to reinforce proactive, person-centered behavioral approaches.

Provide direct behavioral intervention and follow-up support to individuals and staff during emergency situations. Carry and respond to a work-issued mobile phone for crisis assessment, intervention, and management responsibilities. Serve as a professional role model by promoting proactive and respectful approaches to supporting individuals with disabilities.

Provide direct service to individuals on a scheduled basis when required. Present applicable new-hire orientation content and training programs to employees. Complete required continuing education and training to maintain BCBA certification and New Jersey licensure. Submit internal and external reports accurately and within required timeframes.

Cooperate fully with organizational and state representatives during program inspections, audits, and investigations. Serve as a liaison for interagency projects, internal committees, and collaborative initiatives. Follow all applicable safety regulations, federal and state requirements, ethical standards, and organizational policies.

Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst credential. Current applicable New Jersey professional licensure. Minimum of three years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in a role involving behavior modification or behavioral support. Knowledge of current behavioral healthcare principles related to developmental disabilities, mental illness, and Applied Behavior Analysis.

Experience developing and implementing behavior modification or behavior support programs. Ability to identify target behaviors, develop intervention strategies, analyze data, and prepare clear clinical reports. Ability to provide training, consultation, observation, and feedback to employees at varying levels of the organization.

Experience and ability to present new-hire orientation or comparable employee training programs. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Computer skills necessary for word processing, documentation, and data management. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals receiving services, families, advocates, employees, partner agencies, and other stakeholders.

Ability to exercise sound judgment, solve problems, organize responsibilities, and complete assignments within required timeframes. Ability to respond to crisis situations and carry a work-issued mobile phone. Ability and willingness to travel throughout New Jersey. Preferred Supervisory or administrative experience. Experience supporting individuals in community-based residential or family support programs.

Experience providing behavioral consultation and training to direct support professionals or residential teams. Schedule Full-time Schedule may vary based on program and organizational needs Flexibility is required to support individuals, residential programs, staff training, and crisis-response needs Work mobile phone responsibilities required Travel throughout New Jersey required Work Location This position is based in Beverly-Rancocas, New Jersey , with regular travel to residential and program locations throughout New Jersey.

Physical Requirements Ability to work a full scheduled workday. Ability to sit for approximately two to three hours during the workday. Ability to stand or remain active for approximately six to eight hours during the workday. Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout program and residential environments. Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate and support individuals’ needs. Fine motor skills necessary to complete accurate documentation, reports, correspondence, and presentations. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
