Job description
2nd Shift Production Area Manager Responsible for organizing, leading, & managing the overall operations within the assigned area. Deploy plant initiatives to support key metrics focusing on safety, quality, delivery, cost, & people. Use the Midway Production System to create a culture of continuous improvement to drive improvements by using such lean tools as policy deployment, 5S, standard work, kaizen, process confirmation & job observation.
Maintain a workforce of motivated employees w/performance being measured at or above minimum acceptable levels & drive performance to achieve or exceed area’s key metric goals. Must be able to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization including weekly reviews with the plant staff & monthly results with MPG directors.
