Student Aide - Career and Technical Programs

Schedule The work schedule will depend on the student’s availability, with a maximum of 20 hours per week. Must have at least 10 hours of availability to work Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Job Description The Career and Technical Programs (CTP) Division at Harper College is seeking a student aide beginning in January 2027.

This position is based in the CTP Division Office and provides administrative and clerical support to both the Career and Technical Programs (CTP) Division and Continuing Professional Education (CPE).

Responsibilities include

Providing front desk reception and assisting students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Answering telephone calls and directing callers to the appropriate individuals or departments. Reviewing division syllabi. Sorting and distributing mail and promotional materials. Assisting faculty and staff with clerical projects. Other duties as assigned.

Education

To apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student and enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester. Experience Basic keyboarding skills Some knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Office or customer service experience a plus
