Practice Nurse

About the Role

Kingswood Medical Centre has an opportunity for an e nthusiastic and dedicated Practice Nurse to join our friendly team on a part-time basis for 12-15 hours per week. The position is preferably based on Fridays, plus one or more additional days, although we are flexible with working days and hours for the right candidate.

If you are a motivated and compassionate nurse looking for a flexible part-time opportunity within a supportive practice, we would love to hear from you. Previous experience of working as a practice nurse is essential. The main responsibilities of the role include: Health monitoring and management ECGs/BPS Supporting and managing the health needs of women presenting for sexual health and contraception, and cervical cytology consultations.

Implementing, and participating in, vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults and children, including patients travelling abroad. Meeting the needs of patients presenting for opportunistic wound care. Asthma or and diabetes management. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: A relevant nursing degree.

Current NMC registration with an active PIN. Previous experience of working as a practice nurse is essential. Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation. Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions. Previous experience of working as a practice nurse is essential.

Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
