12 Month Part-Time Cleaner

SECTION I: GENERAL INFORMATION Position Title: 12 month Part-Time Cleaner Department: Custodial Immediate Supervisor's Position Title: Director of Building and Grounds FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Wage Range: $19.71 +$ 0.45 shift differential ($20.16 an hour) Hours: 4 hours per day General Summary of Purpose of Job: This position cleans and maintains designated areas of the building to ensure a clean, pleasant and safe environment for employees, students, and the general public.

SECTION II: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Vacuum, mop and sweep designated areas of the building. Collect and remove all trash, shredding and recycling in assigned areas. Clean restrooms and locker rooms as assigned. Clean windows, doors and mirrors in entry ways and other areas as assigned. Clean carpets, stairways and floors as assigned Dust furniture and equipment.

Clean and disinfect cafeteria tables, counter tops and conference room tables Report any issues with equipment or materials to the supervisor. Lock up building or designated areas as required. Move furniture, set up for events as needed. Follow district cleaning procedures and standard safety procedures, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Substitute for building engineer as needed. Other duties as assigned SECTION III: WORK REQUIREMENTS AND CHARACTERISTICS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum education and experience required to perform adequately in position could reasonably be attained only by completing the following: High school diploma or GED.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE WORK Ability to work well with others. Ability to work independently and follow directions. Effective communication skills. Ability to perform routine computer functions, including the use of email, internet navigation and Microsoft Word. Demonstrated prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
