Job description
Description Quik. Cut, LLC is growing, and we're looking for a skilled and safety-focused OTC Welding Robot Operator to join our team at our main campus in Fort Wayne. As an OTC Welding Robot Operator, you'll operate and monitor automated welding systems, load and unload parts, make basic programming adjustments, and ensure finished welds meet Quik.
Cut's quality standards. You'll play an important role in keeping automated welding processes running safely, efficiently, and consistently.
Responsibilities include
Operate and monitor an OTC robotic welding system in a manufacturing environment. Load and unload parts into welding fixtures, ensuring proper positioning and alignment. Verify fixtures, components, and materials are correctly positioned before beginning the welding cycle. Monitor automated welding operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production requirements.
Troubleshoot basic robot, fixture, and welding issues. Inspect completed welds for quality, consistency, appearance, and proper placement using visual inspection and measurement tools. Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, work instructions, and technical drawings. Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and basic maintenance of robotic welding equipment, fixtures, and workstations.
Requirements
Previous experience operating robotic welding equipment, welding automation, or manufacturing robots preferred. Experience with robotic welding systems such as OTC Daihen, FANUC, ABB, or Yaskawa is a plus. Familiarity with basic robotic programming, teach pendant operation, or weld path adjustments is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
Basic understanding of welding processes and metal fabrication. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance. Why Choose Quik.
