If you would like to be a part of our future team, please apply now! $5,000 Sign on Bonus Included (Terms and Conditions Apply) Job Summary: The Cath lab tech will assume duties such as using electrocardiography (EKG) equipment to help detect issues with the heart or blood vessels, taking patient medical histories, and assisting doctors with other tasks as needed during procedures.
Position Summary
Performs technical functions, patient care, and other daily functions of the cardiac catheterization lab, the procedure room, and associated areas, as assigned, by the director or supervisor. Monitor, analyze, obtain, calculate and document data obtained in procedures. Alert physician to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
Assist in ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, cost efficiency, providing appropriate information towards future needs, and actively supports process improvement within the department. Explain testing procedures to patient in order to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, Associate's degree, or Technical degree required. Diploma from a school of Cardiovascular Technology or graduate of a licensed Radiologic Technology school Cath Lab experience required Minimum of two (2) years in a health care setting preferred Knowledge of sterile technique preferred RT with VI or CI credential preferred Demonstrates experience in establishing interpersonal relationships necessary to promote an effective working environment License: RCIS Registry OR ARRT Licensure BLS ACLS within 90 days of hire Basic Arrhythmia within 90 days of hire BENEFITS: Paid Sick Time - effective 90 days after employment Paid Vacation Time - effective 90 days after employment Health, vision & dental benefits - eligible at 30 days, following the 1st of the following month Short and long-term disability and basic life insurance - after 30 days of employment Insight is an Equal Opportunity Employer & values workplace diversity!
