Job Details: Salary Range: Undisclosed, Reports to: General Manager/Lead Baker Classification: Non-exempt Position Summary: The Baker is responsible for supporting the Lead Baker and General Manager with all aspects of operation of the bakery. He/she must perform all duties necessary to achieve production goals in a manner that will ensure the appropriate use of products and company resources.

He/she is responsible for communicating factors influencing bakery production and success and works with the Lead Baker and/or General Manager to develop strategic and tactical plans to increase and sustain bakery revenue targets. This is an hourly position, which requires approximately 35-40 hours per week with occasional need to work additional hours as the business demands.

Schedule is flexible and will include some evenings and weekends and extended hours. Essential Responsibilities: Reporting to the Lead Baker, the Baker ensures that the company’s vision, mission, and values are understood, embraced, and modeled. The Baker functions to support the Lead Baker, and aids in the overall growth and success of the bakery.

Responsible for supporting daily operations, including all aspects of customer service, product quality, cleanliness, and food safety Ensures that all kitchen production sheets and checklist are completed. Follows recipes and executes bakery items including but not limited to cake, cookies. Muffins, brownies, cupcakes, scones and kolaches.

Informs Lead Baker regarding facilities and equipment issues. Supports Lead Baker on food ordering when necessary. Drives sales and profits by: Ensuring sampling. Looking for opportunities for off premises sales (coffee service, catering, local events, etc.) Advising the Lead Baker of un-tapped customer potential and/or competitive opportunities Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 1+ years of Bakery experience Knowledge of business drivers within Bakery Industry
