• Layton, UT, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $13.00 - $15.00Hourly, Job Shift: Morning, About Our Company Final Markdown has been open for a year and is going strong as a rapidly growing retail establishment! We focus on liquidating products that cannot be sold through regular retail channels. This includes scratch and dent, overstock, customer returns, and salvage consumer products. We are always looking to grow our team with energetic, self-motivated individuals who are interested in growing with us. We need team members with a positive attitude, a track record of honesty and integrity, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently. Job Description The Cashier is responsible for receiving payments and issuing receipts, as well as keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, previous experience in a customer service position and a good knowledge of how cash registers operate is preferred. The Cashier will being stocking time to time when needed, and will participate in cleaning the sale floor and registers. Schedule Requirements We are currently looking for a team member to cover morning shifts, if needed will cover night shift. We need someone with an open schedule, and willing cover shift. We are flexible with scheduling but, we need someone willing to be flexible with there schedule too.

What You Will Do

Successfully execute store opening and closing procedures Lead, train, and support cashiers to ensure excellent customer service and smooth daily operations Receive payments from customers and issue receipts Track and balance all cash and credit transactions within the respective cash register Interact with customers to understand their needs or answer any questions Count money accurately and efficiently Operate the cash register and point-of-sale systems Use computers for basic daily tasks Answer customer questions and provide excellent service Assist with stocking merchandise and organizing products on the sales floor Perform general cleaning tasks to ensure a neat, safe, and welcoming store environment Safely lift, carry, and maneuver items weighing approximately 50 pounds (more or less) as needed Maintain a flexible approach and be willing to take on additional duties as needed to support the team and store operations Qualifications: Requirements What You Will Bring: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic computer knowledge and math skills Ability to work quickly and efficiently Proven history of honesty and integrity Able to work independently with little instruction Demonstrated commitment to achieving the organization's goals and objectives Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with a focus on timeliness and responsiveness Demonstrate high level of diplomacy, sound judgment, and discretion when dealing with customers and other department staff High degree of energy, self-motivation, and flexibility Proven ability to work collaboratively with others Excellent communication and time management skills Excellent attention to detail and outstanding organization skills Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude.

Move objects up to 10 lbs. (Must be able to frequently move/lift objects up to 25 lbs. in weight. May occasionally move/lift an object up to 50 lbs. in weight)
