Job Family : Data Science & Analysis Travel Required : None Clearance Required : Ability to Obtain Public Trust What You Will Do : We are looking for a Scientific Program Analyst to provide comprehensive project and program analysis support for the Native Collective Research Effort to Enhance Wellness (N CREW) program.
The role will support program operations, research activities, milestone tracking, reporting, budgeting, communications, and stakeholder coordination. This is a full-time position located in North Bethesda, MD. Develop and improve procedures for tracking progress, identifying portfolio gaps, and compiling scientific-interest information.
Analyze program and grant data to identify scientific overlap, duplication, future directions, and workload distribution. Review and proofread scientific, management, policy, and programmatic documents. Prepare scientific and program materials, including tables, graphs, slides, abstracts, posters, reports, handouts, meeting materials, and supplements.
Synthesize multisource information for presentations, meetings, and program updates. Develop milestones, budgets, funding and project plans, risk assessments, mitigation strategies, procedures, and timelines for current and potential initiatives. Analyze scientific programs, grantee reports, research portfolios, and internal and NIH systems to identify issues and improvements.
Support planning, development, launch, and execution of scientific projects and new initiatives. Organize and maintain project documentation and communications using project management tools. Conduct literature and database searches using Pub. Med, Web of Science, and other scientific sources. Manage bibliographic references and organize accessible scientific-resource libraries.
Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, SharePoint sites, presentation libraries, Listservs, and program-management resources. Plan and support scientific meetings, conferences, workshops, lectures, symposia, committees, teleconferences, and videoconferences. Prepare agendas, minutes, participant lists, correspondence, presenter materials, emails, reports, and meeting documentation.
Coordinate feedback and revisions among staff, investigators, collaborators, Tribal organizations, communities, federal agencies, and partners. Prepare technical, progress, and monthly status reports, summaries, correspondence, charts, and memoranda. Track clinical research studies and related documentation. Support website production and content maintenance, communications planning, and public-inquiry responses.
What You Will Need
Master’s degree in social or clinical science, such as psychology, social work, sociology, anthropology, epidemiology, psychiatry, health policy, public health, human services, community organization, or related discipline. Minimum of TWO (2) years of experience supporting scientific, public health, behavioral health, substance-use, opioid-overdose, or research-infrastructure programs.
Strong scientific, technical, and programmatic writing skills. Ability to analyze scientific and programmatic information and prepare concise reports, presentations, and recommendations. Ability to organize projects, track milestones and deliverables, maintain documentation, and provide deadline reminders. Capability to develop and maintain SharePoint sites, databases, dashboards, websites, spreadsheets, or presentation libraries.
Ability to work collaboratively with NIH staff, community members, federal agencies, Tribal organizations, investigators, and other stakeholders. Skilled in managing bibliographic references and scientific resource libraries. Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft SharePoint, and/or Adobe Acrobat.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD “public trust”; candidates must receive approved adjudication prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred What Would Be Nice To Have : Proficiency in conducting literature reviews using Pub. Med, Web of Science, or comparable scientific databases.
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to analyze grantee progress reports, research portfolios, program milestones, budgets, and deliverables. Proven success developing project plans, standard operating procedures, risk assessments, mitigation plans, budgets, and timelines.
Track record of preparing scientific presentations, charts, graphs, reports, abstracts, posters, or other materials for technical and nontechnical audiences. Demonstrated ability to work with Tribal communities, Native American Serving Organizations, community-based partners, or culturally responsive research initiatives.
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$108,000.00.
