Job description
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in White Bear Lake, MN. Starting at a minimum of $29.00/hr + $5000.00 Sign on Bonus In this role will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools To be successful in this role you will need the following: Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.
Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level. Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts. Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software Compensation and Benefits: Base salary rate commensurate with experience.

Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience: Minimal level of work shop experience required Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing. -Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
- A current valid license is required for this role
- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
- This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
