About The Role

Are you confident with Excel, comfortable working with numbers and keen to investigate when figures don’t add up? We’re looking for a Finance Administrator to join our Stock Control and Transactional Finance team, supporting stock control and day-to-day finance administration. Reporting to our Transactional Finance Team Leader, you will help ensure our system records accurately reflect what’s happening in the packhouse, alongside supporting accounts payable and receivable activities.

What you will be doing Recording stock receipts, packing work orders, journals and stock sales in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). Tracking stock movements and ensuring transactions accurately reflect packhouse activity. Supporting customer invoicing, credit and debit notes, cash posting and credit control, including chasing outstanding payments. Resolving finance queries and keeping accurate, up-to-date records.

This role can be based at either Peterborough or Alconbury, with 1 day working from home permitted.

About You

You will be confident working with numbers, have strong attention to detail and enjoy investigating when figures don’t add up. Excel will be a significant part of your day, so you’ll need to be comfortable working with detailed spreadsheets and formulas to compare data, reconcile figures and investigate discrepancies.

Experience using VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH and Power Query would be particularly useful. You will also bring good organisational skills, the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and clear communication skills to help resolve queries with colleagues. Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or stock administration would be an advantage, as would familiarity with D365 or stock movements within a packhouse or fresh produce environment.
