Gift Merchandise Clerk - Retail Pharmacy

It is a peaceful, scenic, community-oriented area with an abundance of amenities to suit every taste. JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Monday

• Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 3pm, Sunday 9am to 1pm. Alternating weekday shifts and every other weekend rotation. Summary of the Job : The Gift Shop Clerk is responsible for greeting and assisting customers, completing transactions using various forms of payment, balancing the register, bagging purchased items, processing returns or exchanges, and maintaining department neatness and cleanliness. The Gift Shop Clerk must have a good understanding of the Point-of-Sale system. The Gift Shop Clerk may help with receiving merchandise and assist with the management of all gift inventory. The Gift Shop Clerk is responsible for merchandizing products and making sure displays are refreshed and cleaned on a regular basis. The Gift Shop Clerk will assist with other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to operate a point-of-sale computer system. Skill in displaying merchandise required. Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision. Experience in the retail industry or cashier experience preferred. This role requires excellent customer service skills, good verbal communication skills, basic mathematical skills, and knowledge about products and services available.

Physical Demands: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Physical Effort required: Constant (67%-100%) – talking, hearing, seeing Frequently (34%-66%) - reaching, handling/feeling Occasionally (1%-33%) – lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing (stairs, ladders, etc), balancing, stooping, crouching EMPLOYMENT Each St.
