LAN Support Specialist

VIRGIN ISLANDS PORT AUTHORITY LAN SUPPORT SPECIALIST REPORTS TO: Information Systems Manager Salary: $46, 514. 20 SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications. Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software problems pertaining to LAN. Recommends and schedules repairs.

Provides End Users support for all LAN- based applications. Installs and configure workstations. Troubleshoots and resolves network related issues; Configures network connectivity Maintains and troubleshoots o Various routers o Intelligent wiring hubs o Ethernet switches Installs, configures and assists Users with Microsoft Office Products Basic Knowledge of Telephony Works under Moderate Supervision Performs such other duties and responsibilities as may be requested and assigned.

Educational Requirements and Experiences An associate's degree in a related area and/or 2-5 years of experience Cisco Certified System Administrator (CCNA) certification will be considered.
