The role We’re looking for a Type Approvals Engineer to join our R&D team in Zoetermeer, taking maritime safety products — EPIRBs, PLBs, VDRs, and AIS transponders — through the international certification and type approval schemes that allow them to be sold and used worldwide. What you will do

g. MED/Wheelmark, RED, Cospas-Sarsat, IEC 61097/61996 series, or comparable telecom/ maritime/RF frameworks); direct experience with one or more of these is strongly preferred Strong communication skills, equally comfortable liaising with internal engineering teams and external certification bodies A track record of building and sustaining professional relationships with test houses and notified bodies over time Solid technical background (electronics, RF, or embedded systems) that supports meaningful technical dialogue with developers and test engineers Excellent organizational skills, able to manage several concurrent certification projects and competing deadlines Strong attention to detail when reviewing technical documentation and compliance evidence A relevant engineering degree (electronics, telecommunications, or similar) Fluent English, written and spoken; Dutch is a plus Why join us The chance to work on life-saving maritime safety technology Working alongside an experienced, multidisciplinary R&D team, with direct exposure to product development, regulatory certification, and international partners across the full product lifecycle A stable, established company with an international customer base, based in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands Market-competitive salary and pension benefits A diverse and inclusive working environment Interested?
