Construction Project Manager

Design Hire is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional with a background in tenant improvements, design-build delivery, commercial interior buildouts, and ground-up construction who can successfully manage budgets, schedules, clients, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead commercial construction projects from planning, preconstruction, and procurement through construction, turnover, and closeout. Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractor performance, change orders, and overall financial performance. Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure successful project execution.

Review contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation while proactively resolving project issues. Utilize Procore to manage project documentation, reporting, scheduling, communication, and overall project workflow.

Qualifications

8+ years of construction project management experience supporting commercial construction projects. Proven experience managing tenant improvement projects, commercial interior buildouts, design-build projects, and new building construction. Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, contract administration, and change order management.

Proficiency with Procore required. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining client relationships and project profitability. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
