Thanks for your interest in working on our team! The System Verification Test (SVT) team verifies and validates Adtran's optical transport products from the customer's perspective. We are looking for a Student with a genuine interest in the optical layer: how light is multiplexed, switched, amplified and transmitted over fibre, and how to prove that a real network does it correctly.

Tasks and responsibilities Supporting senior colleagues with lab setup and management Development of test cases in test management system Configuration and maintenance of test environments according to test tasks Documentation and tracking of defects in test management system Creation and performance of end-to-end test scenarios that include wide hardware and test equipment usage Usage of measurement equipment and test applications necessary for all tasks in SVT Development or use of automated tests according to test purpose Own controlling of quality and documentation of test tasks Support of named internal and external customers Reporting periodically to the responsible Manager SVT Independent learning about new technologies, test methods and usage of measurement equipment Knowledge, skills and experience required 3rd - 5th year Student of Telecommunications, Electronics, Physics / Photonics / Optoelectronics, or a similar faculty Available to work at least 24h per week Very good written and spoken English Familiarity with optical networks design, optical transport protocols DWDM, OTN ethernet Understanding of DWDM systems, including the role of ROADMs (WSS, add/drop, colorless/directionless) and optical amplifiers (EDFA, Raman — gain, noise figure, tilt) Experience in development and/or usage of automation scripts / AI would be beneficial Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Self-motivated, teamwork oriented and well organized Compensation and Benefits Long-term paid internship - 6,000PLN for full-time Possibility to work in an international environment with strong team-oriented and friendly work culture Possibility to have hands on experience with latest optical technologies 800GbE, QSFP ZR+ technologies, RAODM based networks Hands on experience with real hardware used by major optical providers in Europe and US Modern office close to the SKM/PKM stations Flexible working hours and possible hybrid work Opportunities for personal development and building career path inside Adtran Multisport Card Paid employee referral program Access to various sport activities and events
