Responsibilities

Lead and monitor medication administration to ensure full compliance with Colorado regulations. Records and Audits: Review MARs and medication records for accuracy, conduct routine audits, and correct discrepancies promptly. Pharmacy Coordination: Manage medication orders, refills, deliveries, and storage, and communicate with pharmacies, physicians, and families as needed.

Controlled Substances: Maintain accurate counts and secure handling of controlled medications. Team Support and Training: Train, mentor, and support QMAPs and caregivers in safe medication practices. Dignified Personal Care: Provide hands-on assistance with ADLs in a gentle, respectful manner when needed. Dementia Support: Recognize and respond to the unique needs of residents with dementia with patience and grace.

Communication: Observe, document, and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or medication response to leadership.

Requirements

Valid Colorado QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Person) is required. Experience: At least [1–2] years of experience as a QMAP required; memory care or assisted living experience strongly preferred. Leadership: Prior lead, trainer, or supervisory experience preferred. Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and documentation skills.
