Public Safety Team

Job Details: Salary Range: $20.50 - $20.50Hourly, The Old Globe Theatre seeks a part-time Public Safety Team Member for its theatre complex in Balboa Park. As a member of the Public Safety Team, the successful candidate will help to maintain the safety and security of all patrons and staff on The Old Globe’s plaza, theatres, offices, and other company property.

Key Responsibilities

Secure and lock/unlock theatre buildings and facilities Patrol theatre grounds and monitor activity across campus Provide valet parking support during performances Transport patrons, staff, and artists via golf cart or shuttle van Respond to patron inquiries and provide assistance as needed Support additional operational needs assigned by managers and leads The Old Globe is actively committed to fostering a culture of equity, diversity, inclusion, and access in all areas of our operation.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following skills and abilities: Valid driver’s license Ability to pass a background screening Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to remain calm under pressure and de-escalate conflicts effectively Detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive work style. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to complete and clear a background screening.

This is an in-house position with a pay rate of $20.50/hour plus ticket privileges. Must be available to work afternoons through late evening hours including weekends; some day shift hours will be available. Average schedule is 20-25 hours per week.
