Planning is an integral contributor to the companys business processes and continuously interacts with many key EB Organizations including Operations, Engineering, Design, Finance, Program Office, and Material Procurement as well as our customer, U.
S. Navy.The Advance Planning-Integration (AP-I) candidate will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of future construction networks which includes supporting each projects Integrated Master Schedule. The candidate will assess individual projects schedule performance reporting results to the Project Management Team.
Regularly monitor project construction status, sequential construction, and perform schedule changes necessary to maintain a valid and achievable network schedule. Produce network critical and controlling paths used for schedule risk assessment. This candidate will be involved with the development of manufacturing and assembly plans, Virginia Class Integrated Master Schedules and schedule-related aspects of Electric Boats Earned Value Management System.
The Advance Planner is a vital team member of the Build Authority team. This position interacts with numerous members of the EB team including Engineering Planning (EP), Detail (DP), Production Control (PC) and Advance Planning, Design Build Sustain (DBS), Engineering, Test, Shipyard Management, Operations, and Program Management.
The AP is required to develop a working knowledge of ARTEMIS, TEAMCENTER, Business Objects, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, and MRPII.This position is on-site located in New London, CT with core hours between 7am - 3pm.Responsibilities. Skills:Good PC computer skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills. Strong critical thinking skills. Must be able to navigate the shipyard as well as climb up and down ladders and stairs. Qualifications. Required:High School diploma or equivalent3+ years of Planning, Project Management, Operations or Design work experience in a manufacturing environment OR 4+ years of Navy Submarine Service.
Experience with MS Office, predominantly Power. Point. Preferred:Experience with Assembly and Testing associated with manufacturing and construction. Experience with Integrated Master Schedule, Earned Value Management System and scheduling software i.e. MS Project. Experience using MRPII, ARTEMIS, and NX/Team. CenterPI287567609
