Due to continued growth and success, Wolfe Eye Clinic has exciting career opportunities for Experienced Ophthalmic Technicians throughout the state of Iowa. We are a progressive, Iowa-based multi sub-specialty ophthalmology group with ten main locations, ten family vision centers, a surgery center, and several outreach sites.

Duties and Responsibilities

Document patients’ medical and ocular histories in the electronic medical record. Perform patient workups. Complete diagnostic testing, such as retinoscopy, manual refraction, applanation A-scan, keratometry, tonometry, OCTs, and visual fields. Provide patient education according to physician instructions. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Qualifications: Ophthalmic experience is required. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Experience providing excellent patient care. Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and communicate concerns regarding the results of diagnostic testing. Ideal candidates would be skilled in: Manual Refraction Applanation A-scan Manual Keratometry Tonometry Visual Fields Retinoscopy Optical coherence Tomography (OCT) Fluorescein Angiography Fundus and optic nerve photography Corneal Topography Slit Lamp Photography B-scans Daytime travel required.
