Art Director

Location: Gurgaon/Mumbai | Full-time About the role: We are looking for an Art Director who can transform business objectives, briefs, and ideas into high-impact, visually compelling creative communication. The ideal candidate should have strong experience. Working with advertising/creative agencies, understand industry-standard creative practices, and have the ability to take a concept from idea → visual direction → creative execution.

This role requires someone who is not only an excellent visual thinker but also understands brands, audiences, competitors, and communication strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Creative Concept & Art Direction Develop original creative concepts and visual ideas based on business and communication objectives. Lead the art direction for campaigns across digital, social media, print, video and other communication platforms. Translate abstract ideas and marketing briefs into strong, engaging visual concepts. Establish the visual tone, style, composition, imagery, typography and overall creative direction. Ensure that creative outputs are visually distinctive, relevant and aligned with brand guidelines.
2. Creative Execution Create high-quality creative assets for campaigns and marketing initiatives. Work across multiple formats including: Social media campaigns Digital advertisements Brand campaigns Print creatives Presentations Videos and motion graphics Marketing collaterals Event/stall branding Internal and external communications Maintain high standards of design quality, visual consistency and attention to detail.
3. Campaign Experience Demonstrate the ability to work on multiple campaigns and tight deadlines without compromising creative quality. Understand how to interpret briefs and convert them into compelling creative solutions. Collaborate effectively with copywriters, designers, video teams, marketing teams and external agencies.
4. Competitor & Industry Analysis Conduct regular competitor and industry creative analysis. Identify emerging visual trends, campaign approaches and communication opportunities. Benchmark the quality of creative output against leading brands and agencies. Use insights from competitor analysis to develop more differentiated and effective creative communication.
5. Team Collaboration & Communication Clearly communicate creative concepts and explain the thinking behind the work. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand objectives and deliver the right creative solution.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills 4-6 years of professional experience in creative design or advertising agency. Excellent conceptual and visual thinking. Strong understanding of: Layout & composition Typography Colour theory Photography Illustration Visual hierarchy Branding Digital & social media design Ability to handle multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.

High attention to detail and commitment to creative quality. Ability to maintain industry-standard design and advertising practices. Software/Tools Strong proficiency in relevant creative tools such as: Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator Adobe InDesign After Effects/Premiere Pro – added advantage Figma – added advantage AI creative tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Gemini, ChatGPT, Runway, etc.
