Yard Helper

Position Description: The Yard Helper is an entry level reporting to the supervisor.

Responsibilities

maintaining the yards, and driveways to keep clear of debris and weeds, picking up trash, help forklift drivers, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Maintain yard areas and along driveways to keep free of debris such as metal banding and boards. Operate equipment and tools for seasonal activity (lawn mower, weed eater, etc.) Empty outside trash bins Helping forklift operators as needed ("lookout", helping with chains, etc.) Check in coils with handheld scanner Willing to cross train in other areas.

Physical & Work Requirements: Industrial environment. Dusty and noisy work environment within OSHA guidelines. Exposed to outside weather and conditions. Able to operate equipment forklifts. Required to wear proper PPE in warehouse and yards. Able to work overtime as needed. We are looking for a dependable, positive attitude, self-starting employees with the ability to learn quickly and have reliable transportation to our warehouse.
