Job Summary

Manages all of the clerical, scheduling, patient accounting duties for the Surgical Services and Anesthesia Departments

Essential Functions

• Conducts telephone communication for Surgical Services & Anesthesia Departments; answers calls, takes messages and makes telephone calls at the request of Physicians or O.R. Staff, initiates pages.
• Delivers messages promptly, and appropriately.
• Schedules all cases for O.R., Anesthesia, Special Procedure Room appropriately and communicates with support services, the O.R. needs. Includes all add-on's and emergencies.
• Assists with traffic control in the front office area, to PACU, & PRE-OP; Helps surgical patients, families/friends with information regarding their surgical status.
